“A love like no other”

Jesus describes the depth of His love for us, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.   Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.   I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:9-11John 15:9-11

).   He loves us no matter what—even when we disobey. But we will live in His love, enjoy His love, as we obey Him.

A man once fell on his knees before Christ and begged, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”   Christ, “filled with compassion” replied, “I am willing; be clean” (Mark 1:40-41Mark 1:40-41

).   We too can fall on our knees and acknowledge God’s only provision for our sins. We too can hear, “I am willing; be clean.”   Christ willingly took God’s righteous indignation upon Himself so that you don’t have to; whoever accepts His death upon the cross as payment for their sins will be reconciled to the God whom they’ve offended.   “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them…God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19, 212 Corinthians 5:18-19, 21

).   Will you accept God’s love today?

No one has ever loved more deeply.

His love is unique, select and uncommon.
· In the face of rejection-He loved.
· In the face of hatred-He loved.
· In the face of unbelief-He loved.                                                                                                                                                                              · He gave His son for whosoever.
· He gave the guiltless for the guilty.
· He gave the sinless for the sinful.
· He gave the perfect for the imperfect.
· He gave the holy for the unholy.

No one has ever loved as God has loved.

To grow in your understanding of God’s love for you, take some time over the next few weeks and read Psalms 103, John 15, and 1 John 4, and note all the ways that God’s love is described.

God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit-all three-held nothing back in the hopes of saving those who would believe. What does it all mean?   It means that if you do not know Christ as your Savior then you really do not know the love of God-but you can!
If you are a Christian, then there is nothing that can keep you from His love, His help and His presence. The very characteristics of God’s love should stir faith and hope in our hearts.
